Sizing Guide
To ensure the you choose the right collar, there are two methods to confirm the best size for your pup.
Instructions for Measuring a Dog Collar Based on an Existing Collar
1. Lay the Collar Flat: Place the collar on a flat surface and unbuckle it. Make sure it’s fully extended without any kinks or twists.
2. Measure from Buckle to Hole (Buckle Collars)
- Fixed Buckle Collars: Use a tape measure or ruler to measure from the end of the buckle to the hole your dog usually uses. This is the correct neck size for your dog.
- Adjustable Buckle Collars: Measure from the buckle to the length you usually adjust it to. For adjustable collars, you may also want to measure the entire length to ensure the new collar has a similar range.
3. Note Collar Width: If you liked the width of the old collar, measure this too, as width impacts comfort, especially for smaller or larger dogs.
Instructions for Measuring a Dog Collar Size Using a Tape Measure
1. Position the Tape: Wrap a flexible tape measure around the thickest part of your dog’s neck, usually where the collar sits naturally.
2. Measure Snugly: Make sure the tape is snug but not tight. Note the measurement.
Important Tips
- Use the Two-Finger Rule: A properly fitting collar should allow you to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog’s neck.
